Grey & Burgundy

Hello all!!

Hope everyone's week is going well! Can you believe it is December already?! I have things planned basically every weekend which is a little crazy but exciting at the same time. Has anyone started Christmas shopping yet? I did about 1/3 so far. 

So I have mentioned in prior posts about the store Bevello that I visit once a year in NC when I go see my dad. There are none around me here on Long Island so when I visit, I literally go crazy with a bunch of stuff. Yes, they have a website but I'm one of those people that prefers to try stuff on first rather than winging it online. I can vary in sizes depending on the designer and how I like things to fit. So on my recent yearly visit I got a few things that I'm starting to share on the blog. Up first, is this gorgeous cabernet vest by Thread & Supply. I actually got the same one last year in Navy. If you haven't noticed since the late summer, I'm on a maroon/burgundy/cabernet...whatever name you want to use...kick!  I can't seem to get enough of this color!! I also got this grey turtleneck by French Connection. It's on the heavier side which is great when I don't want to wear a jacket. Unfortunately, I can't find this turtleneck on the site anymore, but I will include some similar items below. I also wanted to mention that these photos were shot at Paumanok Vineyards. We have some beautiful wineries out by me and I finally got to take advantage of when it was quiet and get some great shots.

Sleeveless Trench Vest

Hello girls! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! It was definitely much needed time off. I acutally went out on Black Friday to the mall and it wasn't too bad. As it got later in the afternoon, it started to get busier...and then I started to think I should have gone out earlier in the morning. Oh well..always next year! I did score a couple deals so I was happy with that. What was your best deal? Let me know in the comments!

Soooo with that said....on to this gorgeous green vest I'm wearing. The good news....it's from Target and at a great price!! The not so good news....it's only available in store. Ugghhh! Sorry!! I had bought it in store so I didn't realize that it wasn't available online until doing this post. I really hate that and not sure why stores do that. Does anyone really know why they do that?? So the link that I provide for this vest is just to show you size options, the brand, and you can plug your zip code to find it at your nearest store. As you all are aware I love green so I was so excited to see this especially in a vest form. I've become a little obsessed with vests this past season. I bought three! I guess you could say I'm really liking this trend. This vest is a little heavier so it is perfect for a fall day with a sweater or turtleneck like I have on. It actually ended up being a lot warmer than expected on the day these photos were shot. It literally got up to about 80 degrees. You can see that my sleeves were pushed up which I really meant to have them down... you know...because I was creating the fall look. Oops!! haha

Flannel

Hey friends! This week is flying by and I cannot wait for this weekend! I am meeting some friends out on Friday night and possibly going to the movies on Saturday. Has anyone seen Shut In yet??? I love scary movies and am dying to see this! Let me know if it's any good!

On to today's post.....Now I love dressing up as much as the next girl, but sometimes I just want a more relaxed look. I can't tell you how much I love wearing flannels. My collection is seriously growing. In 1997 when I was in ninth grade, flannels were in because I remember wearing a bunch of them with cargo pants. You know...the grunge look...LOL Does anyone else remember that? Then it seemed they went away for a bit and then...yay!!...they are back again! But now in a more polished look. I get my flannels from a variety of stores such as Bevello, Francesca's, American Eagle, Target, and Old Navy which is where the one I'm wearing is from.

Flannels are so great for layering. I love putting a tank and long sleeve shirt on underneath and then adding a vest on top. When I saw this green one I was so excited! This particular shade is hard to come by. Right now this flannel is on sale for $20!!!! Use the code WARM! It comes in many other colors. I also got it in red too!! Also loving the vest?? Well, you're in luck because I got this from Old Navy too! I actually did not own a black vest before this and I wanted just a basic black one (with no hood) that was on the thicker side. It comes in four other shades!

Green & White

Hello girls! Week is almost over! So I am doing another post about H&M items today. I had bought so many cute things so I wanted to share before they are gone! If you've read my prior posts, you will know that green is my favorite color! When I saw this blouse in this beautiful Emerald color I knew I had to have it! I also saw this blazer and I am definitely a blazer queen....I have like 10! But I didn't have a white one and I love how it contrasted against the green top. I also love how it's cut and how the sleeves are scrunchy....yes...I did not push them up...that is how they come. Ha! These heels from DSW I have been wearing non-stop. I love the grey and how much they actually go with. Also, the close up of the necklace I'm wearing is from Chloe & Isabel.

H&M Burgundy Blouse

Hello there lovlies! I have a crazy week ahead so I'm trying to get a few blog posts in early this week as I won't be home much towards the end of it.  Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!!

Here I am wearing this beautiful burgundy top from H&M. This is one of my fave colors for the fall/winter season. I think it can be an easier color to wear for people as opposed to a bright red. I had bought this top (in store) a few weeks ago and I hate to report that I cannot find it online anywhere! I even called H&M and asked if they could help find it. Sadly, they could not so I am going to link similar tops. I really do apologize as I hate not being able to link the exact item. Especially a new item I am wearing and showing you guys for the first time! Ughhh!
