Weekend in Boston

Hello girls! Hope everyone had a wonderful week! So last weekend I went to Boston and had an amazing time! I had never been and it was on my list of places to visit. You would think with me being so close I would have been there ten times already, but sadly no. Since I work full time at another job, I'm limited on vacay time so this was a short stay. We drove up Friday and drove back Sunday so we basically had a day and a half.  But since it was so great I wanted to do a recap of where I stayed and what we did there.

I know this pic above is dark but it was so pretty in person with all the treees lit up . As you can see from the sign we stayed at the luxury Boston Harbor Hotel and let me tell you it did not dissapoint! Can you see all the marble below!! Gorgeous!! Everyone was so nice and we basically got red-carpet treatment the whole time we were there. I cannot recommend this place fast enough! I can see why it was voted as a Forbes Five-Star Hotel. And that's not all! They have a whole list of other awards such as Most Excellent Service, Readers' Choice, Worlds's Best Hotels, etc!!

This was out back and being from Long Island I love being near water so this was right up my alley.

Something about the below pic reminds me of London. Anyone else? I love how it's illuminated against all the darkness.

This is me and my wonderful boyfriend who planned this whole trip! And if you can't tell my sweater is dark green so that we could match! Ha! Yes, we like to coordinate!

This is our room and it was so nice, spotless, and very comfortable. The pictures don't even do it justice.

So this was something I haven't seen yet in any hotel, perhaps it's a new thing, but see that tablet down there they provided? It has everything on there about the hotel, the area, restaurants, shopping, weather, and you can even choose what kind of music to play. It's genius!

My boyfriend arranged to have them deliver the chocolate covered strawberries below as they are my fave! <insert heart emoji>

So we decided on Friday night to stay in the hotel and eat at one of their restaurants and we chose the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. OMG!!! The food was amazing!! I cannot stress how important good food is to me. I may be a picky eater but when I find something I love and it's fantastic, it makes me very happy. We both had the filet mignon and it was just terrific. Worth every penny! Also, our waiter was excellent! We never had to wait for anything and he was so nice and funny. We were so happy with our service and food that we ate lunch and dinner there on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday! Ha!

I loved the decor of the restaurant! How pretty are all the pictures?! And you can't tell from the pic, but that is dark blue velvet behind those pictures! <insert heart-eyed emoji> lol

This is the restaurant at night. So cozy!!

I have a thing for lanterns so this was perfect for me!!

This was the view from our room! In the upper left corner where all those lights are is the airport so you can see the planes take off and land which I think is pretty cool.

The moon was so perfect and bright!

On Saturday we went to Beacon Hill as that is the one place I had to go while in Boston. I loved seeing the neighborhoods and how pretty it was. It was nice to see some houses still decorated from the holidays. I love the decor on the front porch below!! So pretty!!

So this is Acorn Street and I read it is one of the most photographed streets in the country! Before I knew that I already had decided I wanted to see it and takes pictures. Of course just as we were walking up to it, this car parks in the middle of it! So we tried walking around a bit and coming back, but no such luck so I took a pic of it anyway because I just love the cobblestone. We plan to go back in the spring or fall so I will hopefully luck out next time with a nice photo.

Next, we went to Boston Public Garden. So beautiful! I couldn't get enough of it. I would love to just sit and read a good book down there. We don't have anything like this where we live and I wish we did. We definitely have the land for it. I can't wait to see what it looks like in nicer weather when all the flowers are bloomed!

This church was so pretty!

Yes, we went in and boy did I find something! Ha!!

This trip was so much fun and much needed for both of us!! We had such a great stay that we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. If anyone goes, let me know how you liked it!!

Thanks so much for reading! I appreciate it so much and I love it when I get comments so please leave them!!

xoxo
