Working the Blazer

As I've mentioned before, I love blazers and have worn a few in my posts already. This one is probably one of my favorites. I bought it I think two years ago at Bevello in Huntersville, NC. Also, I just saw in my email that everyone in store and online is 20% off!  It is one of my favorite stores when I go down there to visit my dad. I love the three-quarter sleeves and the color is a bluish/green. It is definitely beautiful in person.

A little beach and dinner

Hello Girls!

This month has been crazy! A lot of birthdays, weddings, appointments, etc. I am looking forward to June as I don't have much planned, at least not yet. :)

First, I want warm weather to get here so I can wear some new things I got and blog about it! Second, there are some places I want to go that are new for me to try and I can't wait to write about. And third, I want to work on some more things for the blog. It is definitely a challenge to work full time and work on this at the same time. I only hope you guys can be patient as I continue to grow this blog to hopefully something great in the near future.

So this will be short post for tonight but wanted to share one of my favorite beaches and one of my favorite places to eat.

The beach above is Kenny's Beach in Southold, NY. It ended up being nice on Sunday afternoon so I took a long walk on the beach and collected beach glass (a favorite thing to do of mine). I have been going to this beach since I was young. Not only does it have amazing sunsets but it was also one of the many hang out spots when I was a teenager so it has a lot of memories.



1943 Pizza Bar is located in Greenport, NY. It's tucked a way so if you're not a local, you could miss it. The pizzas are made to order and delicious! This is a white pizza with mozzarella, garlic, arugula, and ricotta. Yum! Their Caesar salads are awesome too! It has indoor and outdoor seating and has a relaxed setting. I went there by myself Sunday and just brought a book and enjoyed a little quiet time.

A Pop of Red

Thank goodness it's Friday! Hope everyone had a great week!

I got these shoes a few weeks ago and have been dying to wear them. The weather as I mentioned in the last month has been so terrible. Today was absolutely gorgeous with no rain so I thought I could bring these out. They are faux suede with a 4 1/4" heel. I normally wear a size 7.5 but they seemed big so I went down a 1/2 size. When I stand the backs still look like they are kind of big but if I went down any lower my toes would be hanging off. I think they are either making shoes bigger or my feet are shrinking! I love the cutouts with the tie in front. So cute! I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit simple with the focus mainly on the shoes and the bag. I got this bag a few years ago from Courage B in Southampton, NY. This is my only red bag so I don't use it often as I want to keep it in good condition so that it will last a long time.

Neon & Navy

Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far! As I've mentioned before, I wear a lot of blazers especially for work. They can dress up any outfit and are a great alternative for a heavy jacket when it's still a little cool out. Soon it will be too hot to wear them so I'm getting them out of my system right now while I can. :)

In a previous post I did a neon pink shirt with a black blazer. Today I am doing neon yellow with a navy blazer. I'm not a huge yellow fan but I saw this neon shade in the store and loved it. I thought pairing it with navy worked well. I am also loving one of my newer Michael Kors bags. I am a huge navy and gold fan for the summer as I love the nautical vibe.

Birthday Weekend

Hello Ladies!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Can't believe it's Sunday night already. :(

So I had a crazy busy weekend and didn't get much photos in. I am sorry! Will get some in this week! Saturday was my and my mom's birthday. Yes, you read that right....I was born on her birthday. And for anyone that is curious...I turned 33. Ugghh! Not loving the 30s so far. Does anyone else wish they were back in there 20s? Leave me a comment!

So my friend/coworker came out and spent the day with me and then we had dinner. Today the family celebrated our birthdays along with Mother's Day since we didn't do it last weekend. Below are a few photos from Saturday my friend took.

The left picture is at Legends Restaurant. I mentioned this restaurant in one of my other posts. I wanted to go somewhere else that had outdoor seating but the weather started to not cooperate so I decided I was craving quesadillas again. The right picture was taken in Greenport on one of the docks. 

This picture was taken after dinner across from Legends in New Suffolk (Cutchogue).

Spring Time

Happy Thursday!!

So excited that the weather has been nicer! I can finally start putting away my winter clothes. I just got this shirt about 2 weeks ago and have been patiently waiting until it got warmer to wear it. I love the green and blush pink in this and my favorite part is that it's long in the back and shorter in the front to tuck in. The best part....the price! Only $22.99 from Target. I usually only buy tanks and T-shirts there but saw this and loved it!

Lemon-Lime

Hello Girls!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

So these photos were taken last week when we had a break in the rain. However, it was maybe 50 degrees out and very windy. You will see I am holding my hair in a lot of these shots. I actually had to delete a lot because my hair was just all over. It is just starting to warm up these week so hopefully I can get some spring stuff in.
